Product story
Each pair of tights is dyed by hand, and embraces Calderon Asensio’s love of colour, inspired by the work of German visual artist Katharina Grosse and of Calderon’s collection of Senegalese plastic pots.
Manufacturing story
For her tights, Calderon Asensio uses a very stretchy and durable nylon, the thickness of which also happens to support richer pigmentation and more eye-catching patterns. Though the end result has an organic feel, the process is precise and labour-intensive – each dyed individually, and where small changes in water temperature can greatly impact the results.
